Calculate your eDPI (effective DPI) instantly — the only fair way to compare sensitivity between players. Free, no signup.
eDPI = sensitivity × DPI. Change either value — the result updates instantly.
eDPI stands for effective Dots Per Inch. It is calculated by multiplying your in-game sensitivity by your mouse DPI. While two players can use completely different sensitivity and DPI numbers, eDPI puts them on a single comparable scale — the same eDPI means the same true sensitivity, no matter the mouse.
When a pro player shares their settings, the sensitivity number alone tells you nothing without their DPI. eDPI solves this: if s1mple plays at 400 eDPI, you can match it exactly with any mouse by picking a sensitivity × DPI combination that multiplies to 400. It is the universal language of aim settings.
Open your mouse software (Logitech G Hub, Razer Synapse, SteelSeries GG) — your current DPI is shown there. Many gaming mice also have a DPI button that cycles presets.
Pick one DPI you like (400 or 800 are the most common) and leave it fixed forever. Make all future adjustments with the in-game sensitivity slider only.
Not always — but most players aim better slightly lower than they think. If your aim feels shaky, try dropping 15–20% and give it a week.
Yes. eDPI is game-independent because it describes your physical mouse output. Use it together with our Sensitivity Converter when switching games.
